Working With life transitions

In my work, difficulty during transitions is understood as a natural response to change rather than a sign of failure.

An Integrative, Depth-Oriented Approach

Therapy during transitions offers space to slow down and listen inward. Using parts work, we explore different aspects of the self that may be holding fear, grief, resistance, or excitement about what is ending and what is emerging. Brainspotting may support deeper processing of emotionally charged or unresolved material connected to transitions, helping the nervous system settle and integrate change more fully.

This work may involve:

  • Processing grief and uncertainty

  • Supporting identity shifts and integration

  • Clarifying values and direction

  • Building resilience and self-trust during change

The Goal of Therapy

The goal is not to return to who you were, but to support who you are becoming. With support, transitions can become opportunities for deeper alignment, meaning, and growth.

Life transitions—whether chosen or unexpected—can disrupt identity, stability, and meaning. Changes such as relationship shifts, career changes, identity exploration, illness, aging, parenthood, or loss often activate uncertainty, grief, or anxiety.
